COVID-19 CLINIC guidelines.
Enable Rehab is committed to strictly adhering to the policies and guidelines set outlined by the Provincial Health Authorities, the governing bodies of our practitioners as well as WorkSafe.
We encourage virtual telehealth rehabilitation whenever possible. For active rehab rehab, this entails one-on-one guided sessions with written and video instructions for prescribed movements, with real-time observation and feedback.
With that said, we do understand that telehealth is not always feasible and continue to offer in-person services with new policies and procedures to ensure client and practitioner safety.
BC COVID-19 SYMPTOM SELF-ASSESSMENT
Clients must complete the BC COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment prior to each session. The practitioner will ask the client if he or she has self assessed prior to starting each appointment. The practitioner will go over the tool and ensure its clear comprehension. If the client does not pass the self assessment, the appointment will be rescheduled to an appropriate date in the future (no cancellation fee will apply). The client will also read and sign an informed consent form for in-person treatments prior to beginning the program. This will outline the mutual responsibilities, risks of exposure and overall decision to participate in in-person sessions.
WITHIN TREATMENT
Clients must attend sessions unaccompanied. Physical distancing will be strictly enforced whenever possible. Consent to treatment and other forms will be provided electronically whenever possible. A distance of two meters or more will be kept between client practitioner whenever possible.
Clients and practitioners are asked to minimize equipment that is brought in to the sessions. Any equipment that is brought in will be sanitized before and after the session. Clients and practitioners are asked to minimize the number of personal items brought into the session.
No exercise equipment will be shared between clients. Equipment will be secured for the client at the lowest available price and will be provided to the client to use throughout the program.
MASKS
Clients and practitioners are required to wear a mask during the entirety of the treatment. We ask that the client brings his or her own mask to the appointment. If the client does not have access to a mask, he or she may purchase one from the clinic for $2.
HAND HYGIENE
The practitioner will wash his or her hands immediately prior to and following each session for at least thirty seconds. The client will be required to wash hands immediately before the session with either water and soap or approved hand sanitizer. Hand washing protocols will be clearly outlined and explained.
ADDITIONAL
As rules and regulations regarding Covid-19 safety protocols may change with time, Enable Rehab is committed to adhering to up-to-date guidelines provided by the BC Provincial Health Authority, WorkSafeBC and the governing bodies of our service providers.
